Serena’s reason for having a crush on Ash was when she got lost in a forest in a summer camp and scraped her knee due to being startled by a poliwag, then Ash arrived and tried to bandage her would with a handkerchief, but Serena still couldn’t get up, Ash told her to “Never give up til the very end” and helped Serena stand up. Then Ash led Serena back to camp and Serena had a crush on him ever since. Over the process of their journey, Ash and Serena had been getting to know each other better which started when Ash invited Serena to come travel with him (as well ans Clemont and Bonnie). Ash knowing Serena was when he has encouraged her at various times whenever she was feeling down, loves her baking as when he ate her cookies as well as her pokepuffs, then there’s when Ash gave Serena the blue ribbon as a thannks to her for ginvg him an idea for giving his Pokemon a present, which was that Ash’s pokemon would like anything he would like.Ash won his rematch with Viola when Serena shouted to never give up which caused him to win against Viola and win the Bug Badge. The reason Ash invited Serena was because thanks to her he came up with a strategy to defeat Viola and it would be great if Serena ould help him from then on. Serena has always admired his determination when it comes to pokemon battle, and as such, Ash is an ispiration for Serena. Serena has shown times whenever she is worried about Ash, such as when before the gym battle between Ash and Grant began, Serena has shown worry and when Ash had gone to the mirror world Serena had wished for Ash to return. Serena hs shown concern to Ash, such as when Ash was about to take a Mega Punch trying to protect Pikachu, and When Ash tried to save Serena from falling in a ravine and twisted his foot in the process, and when Ash tried to save Talonflame from falling in a volcano, when Serena was hesitant to accept Aria’s challenge,she accepted from an encouragement from Ash. There are also other character’s that know about Serena’s crush on Ash, Miette from when she debuted, she told Serena is hshe doesn’t tell how she feel about Ash, then Miette would tke him away. Meitte also teased Serena asking if Serena’s haircut was because Ash rejected her, has stated she would succeed with Ash and after losing the tripokalons, Miette said she won’t give up on the other competition, obviousy referring to Ash. And from the Dance episode, Serena was shocked to see Miette holding Ash’s hand and asks him to be her partner, and during the Master Class, Miette asks Ash about who he was going to root for and Ash said he was going to root for Serena, much to her embarrasment. Then there’s Bonnie, when Miette has tease Serena about being with Ash, she said that Ash was so dense, which happened again during the Master Class. Also there is Shauna, saying that Ash was always upbeat and asked Serena if that’s why she liked him, causing Serena to get embarrased. Ash was shown to help Serena, such as when Ash helped Serena across a river, across a fallen tree and when Serena almost fell into a ravine, he grabs Serena’s hand to stop her from falling but also fell in the process. Ash had shown to protect Serena, such as when Luxio used Swift and Ash got in front of Serena and tolp Pikachu to used thunderbolt, when they encountered a Malamar, having remembered their first encounter, he puts an arm in front of Serena., when Serena was startled by an icy wind, Ash puts his hand on Serena’s shoulders to calm her down. In the Coumarine tree of promises festival, whe Ash had trouble what to give to his pokemon, Serena suggessted that they would like anything he would and Ash give them a bag full of berries to eat. Ash and Serena’s relatioship is shown to be very united, with Serena being the only traveling companion to have never argued with Ash. Though there were instances when Serena has scolded Ash, such as when he approached a Rhyhorn from behind, when Ash was about to eat a slive of cake meant to be share and when Ash made a deep dive to save Talonflame, had it not been for Frogadier, they would’ve died.

There’s a fucking difference over having a crush on someone and obsessing over someone. They just let those claims cloud how amourshipping really is supposed to be.
